Ed Mashmann was born in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island, NY. His first trip to Maine was to Baxter State Park in June,1967. He moved to Dover-Foxcroft in November 2023 to be with other family members.

Ed began his insurance career in 2000 with Hometown Insurance of Long Island and then worked for the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) starting in 2006. His primary focus became helping seniors and those on Medicare. In January 2025, he founded Senior Services of Central Maine.
